Legal or Illegal, Abortion Rates Are the Same

According to a new study by members of the Guttmacher Institute and World Health Organization, abortion rates are the same whether or not the procedure is legal.

"In a study examining abortion trends from 1995 to 2003, experts also found that abortion rates are virtually equal in rich and poor countries, and that half of all abortions worldwide are unsafe."

"Abortion accounts for 13 percent of maternal mortality worldwide. About 70,000 women die every year from unsafe abortions. An additional 5 million women suffer permanent or temporary injury."

"Unsafe abortions" were defined as "those performed either by people lacking the necessary skills or in an environment that does not conform to minimum medical standards."

Couldn't find any official pro-life opinion on this study.

Or you could punish people by the law for those who kill life....but hey so far 55 million people from my generation have been wiped out, that's 55 million people from just the united states alone, who knows, maybe my future wife was in one of those 55 million, who knows if the next revolutionist or beethoven of are time was in that group. Instead of letting life live we decided to suck its brains out with a vacuum.

Using this statistic to support pro-choice is as insane as saying that I can go kill someone because people in other poor countries do it too.

"Punish people by law for those who kill life?" I was wondering what that funky smell was. Tim, take a shower! The bacteria in your asscrack might not thank you, but all of humanity will!

And if you're worried about the next Beethoven, why don't you get to work? Unless you believe the extra 9 months of piano practice in the womb is what makes a piano prodigy. I mean, I know Beethoven was young when he wrote his greatest songs, but I'm pretty sure he didn't write "Moonlight Sonata" as an embryo.

And if your "future wife" was aborted, lucky her.
